O. Douglas Price

Program Manager, Institute for Sustainable Cities at hunter college (ISC)

Douglas Price joined the Institute as Program Manager in 2014. He focuses on program development, fundraising and grant writing, and serves as project manager to CISC research projects. Douglas is also engaged in CISC research projects related to material and energy flows in the New York City metropolitan region, with particular emphasis on greenhouse gas emissions. He received his MS in Sustainability Management from Columbia University and his BS in Architecture from the University of Michigan.

Makia Harper

Grant Administrator, The Green Initiative Fund (TGIF)

Makia Harper is the grant administrator for The Green Initiative Fund at Hunter College. She began her role in the summer of 2012, and has facilitated nearly two dozen TGIF projects, serving as the liaison for students and Hunter administration. She also serves as the director of media outreach and communications.

Ms. Harper is also a Brooklyn based documentary filmmaker, media artist, writer, and film/media instructor at Hunter College and Rutgers University. Her work explores the many social, emotional, and political issues that plague society with a special emphasis on the underserved, community development, and wellness. Her work also addresses the relationship between social justice and spirituality.

Makia is also a contributing writer to the media arts journal, After Image, and was formerly a writer for the Philadelphia City Paper covering topics on activism, and community relations in Philadelphia. Ms. Harper enjoys yoga, reading, traveling, and spending time with family and friends.
